A team of U.S. and German soldiers read their directions before beginning a task during a cavalry spur ride Nov. 2, 2017 in the Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany. The event was hosted by the 2d Cavalry Regiment headquarters troop to bring multi-echelon and multinational teams together to have a little fun and keep the spur ride tradition alive. Events included a 12-mile ruck march, disassemble and reassemble weapons, treat and evacuate a casualty, land navigation and CS gas chamber. Everyone who completed the event were awarded silver spurs.
