Wreaths are laid on the north steps of Monument Circle in Indianapolis in memory of all Hoosiers in all wars and conflicts who sacrificed their lives in defense of the nation at the 500 Festival Memorial Service May 27. Names of the 16 Indiana service members who died within the past year were read aloud.
