U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Memphis District employee Royalle Woods is working at the Corps' temporary power team intermediate staging base at Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico on January 31, 2018 during response and recovery operations following hurricanes Maria and Irma. The temporary power mission provides electricity to critical facilities approved by the Federal Emergency Management Agency until grid power is reestablished and is one of the major response and recovery missions managed by the Recovery Field Office-Puerto Rico. When not deployed, Woods is a pumping plant operator at W.G. Huxtable Pumping Station, Marianna, Arkansas.
