JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-FORT SAM HOUSTON – (Jan. 25, 2018) Patrick Simmons of Boerne, Texas, takes the Oath of Enlistment into America’s Navy at Navy Recruiting District (NRD) San Antonio. Simmons, a 2017 graduate of Texas A&M University, will attend Officer Candidates School in February with follow-on training as a naval flight officer (NFO) at Naval Air Station Pensacola. As a NFO, Simmons will study aerodynamics, aircraft engine systems, meteorology, navigation, flight planning, and flight safety.
