Marksmanship training is designed to train, sustain, and improve the individual and collective skills needed to achieve proficiency in individual and collective gunnery tasks. In order for Soldiers to qualify, they must shoot 23 out of 40 pop up targets in the prone supported, prone unsupported and kneeling position. Targets range from 50 meters to 300 meters.
