Logistics Marines set conditions for Marine Rotational Force - Darwin

Brig. Gen. Daniel B. Conley, Commanding General, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, checks on the morale and welfare of Cpl. Anthonette Bement and Hospitalman Michael George during a visit to Darwin, Australia Jan. 28, 2018. Conley was conducting a site survey of the Ground Equipment Support Program at various bases in Darwin in preparation for the Marine Rotational Force - Darwin scheduled to begin in March. The presence of U.S. Marines in Australia reflects the enduring alliance and common security interests in the region and improves interoperability between the two nations. Bement is a Lorain, Ohio native and is the embarkation chief with the GESP forward deployed from Combat Logistics Regiment 35, 3rd Marine Logistics Group. George is a San Antonio native, also forward deployed from CLR-35. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Staff Sgt. Valerie Eppler)
