Coalition service members begin the restoration of the Mike Spann memorial at Qala-i-Jangi, near Mazar-e-Sharif, northern Afghanistan. The memorial was constructed in honor of Spann by Northern Alliance General Abdul Rashid Dostum for his sacrifice during a Taliban uprising at the 19th century fort.
