MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. – Japanese vehicles belonging to the Western Army Infantry Regiment, Japan Ground Self Defense Force are staged to board U.S. Navy Landing Craft Air Cushion belonging to Assault Craft Unit 5, Jan. 19. The JGSDF, USN and U.S. Marine Corps are participating in exercise Iron Fist 2018. Iron Fist is an annual, bilateral training exercise where U.S. and Japanese service members train together and share techniques, tactics and procedures to improve their combined operational capabilities.
