MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. - Soldiers with the Western Army Infantry Regiment, Japan Ground Self Defense Force, enter a building from a stack formation during Military Operations on Urban Terrain training during exercise Iron Fist 2018, Jan. 17. When performing MOUT training, Soldiers and Marines continually work together to choreograph their movements in order to make a complicated task, such as room clearing, second nature. Iron Fist is an annual, bilateral training exercise held in Southern California between the U.S. Marine Corps and the JGSDF.
