MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. - Soldiers with the Western Army Infantry Regiment, Japan Ground Self Defense Force, enter a building from a stack formation during Military Operations on Urban Terrain training during exercise Iron Fist 2018, Jan. 17. When clearing a building, team members work in unison to clear a building of potential hostile threats while protecting each other. Iron Fist is an annual, bilateral training exercise held in Southern California between the U.S. Marine Corps and the JGSDF.
