FORT PICKETT, Va. -- Somebody has to do it: An unidentified Soldier assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., sloshes through foot-deep mud on his way to placing chains in the bed of a truck that will be used to free a mired vehicle. His team was one of 15 vying for honors in the Combat Repair Team competition the concludes here Friday. It is designed to test teamwork and critical thinking skills under real-world scenarios.
