    1st Security Force Assistance Brigade

    Soldiers with the 1st Security Force Assistance Brigade work with the role players simulating an Afghan police force to negotiate with local villagers during a training event at the Joint Readiness Training Center in Fort Polk, La., Jan. 13, 2018. This training is the first of its kind, specifically tailored for the 1st SFAB Soldiers in preparation for their upcoming deployment to provide training and advising assistance to Afghan National Security Forces. Security Force Assistance Brigades are new formations specially trained and built to enable combatant commanders to accomplish theater security objectives by Training –Advising –Assisting –Accompanying –Enabling allied and partnered indigenous security forces.
