Maxwell AFB, AL - Retired Chief Warrant Officer Guy Hunter, Jr one of the Eagles of Gathering of Eagles 2017 speaks about his experiences of being a Prisoner of War during Desert Storm. The OV-10 in which CWO Hunt and Lt Col Clifford Acree were in was shot down over Kuwait on 18 January 1991, and both were taken prisoner by the Iraqi Army. CWO Hunter was released in Mar 1991 by the Iraq government. Gathering of Eagles 2017 was held at Maxwell AFB on 30 May -1 Jun 2017, the theme is Desert Storm. GOE program brings together aviation heroes and pioneers to share their experiences with future leaders of the military.
