Volunteers at the event included Coast Guard members who are stationed in San Juan, and members deployed on the island for the Hurricane Maria ESF-10 Puerto Rico response. The event with Proyecto Esparciendo AMOR benefited children and families affected by the hurricane; a caravan of volunteers traveled through the town, greeting families and passing out toys, children’s clothing, books, supplies, canned goods and other items.
