NORFOLK (Dec. 13, 2017) Undersecretary of the Navy, the Honorable Thomas B. Modly, right, listens as Rear Adm. Jeff Hughes, Commander, Expeditionary Strike Group 2. Hughes talked about flight and rescue experiences in the wake of hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria which devastated the U.S., Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands this past summer. The Undersecretary of the Navy visited the Sailors of Helicopter Sea Combat (HSC) 7 to thank them for their humanitarian assistance/disaster relief efforts during the 2017 hurricane season.
