NAGO, OKINAWA, Japan— Lt. Cmdr. Jeffery B. Parks plays “Silent Night” on the trumpet Dec. 15 at the Okinawa Airakuen Sanatorium in Nago, Okinawa, Japan. Service members brought freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and banana bread to be handed out to residents of the sanatorium while they sang Christmas carols. Since 1938, the Nago Airakuen Sanatorium has been a rest home for leprosy patients or ex-leprosy patients. Parks is the chaplain for Combat Logistics Regiment 3, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Danielle R. Prentice)
