171216-N-RT036-112 HAMPTON, Va. (Dec. 16, 2017) Quartermaster 3rd Class Moise Monestime, from Brooklyn, New York and assigned to the Nimitz-Class aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73), lays a wreath on a grave during a Wreaths Across America ceremony at Hampton National Cemetery. George Washington Sailors, veterans, and civilan volenteers laid more than 7000 wreaths during the event. George Washington is undergoing a refueling and complex overhaul (RCOH) at Newport News Shipyard. RCOH is a nearly four-year project performed only once during a carrier's 50-year service life that includes refueling of the ship's two nuclear reactors, as well as significant repair, upgrades and modernization.
