U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Adam Glintz, operations officer of Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron (VMGR) 152, flies over the Grand Canyon after a Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RSVM) flight check over Arizona, Dec. 9, 2017, as part of unit-level training El Centro Horizon. The flight check allowed the unit to maintain RVSM certification for the KC-130J. RVSM was implemented to reduce the vertical separation 2,000 feet minimum to 1,000 feet minimum. It allows aircraft to safely fly more optimum profiles, gain fuel savings and increase airspace capacity. In conjunction with the flight check, VMGR-152 Marines had the opportunity to observe Grand Canyon National Park from a unique point of view. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Carlos Jimenez)
