Candice Crume, an Naval Medical Center Portsmouth Hematology/Oncology patient, places the first red ribbon on the Christmas tree during the annual NMCP Hematology/Oncology Christmas party. The red ribbon is a symbol for the chronically ill children receiving treatment at NMCP. The annual party gives chronically ill children and their families a fun respite during the holidays with others who understand the challenges of what they are going through.
