U.S. Army soldiers from Army Forces Battalion, Joint Task Force-Bravo conducted sling load training supported by a Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment CH-47F at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras on Dec. 6, 2017. Sling load operations provide commanders with a capability that allows them to safely and expeditiously transport equipment over long distances while maneuvering through austere environments and terrain. Soldiers conducted several iterations of the training, allowing them the opportunity to practice preparing, certifying, and hooking up the loads of equipment to be transported.
