U.S. Army soldiers with 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment participate in the annual iteration of exercise Tropical Dagger by providing rotary wing support throughout Belize. Joint Task Force-Bravo seeks to develop and grow regional security capabilities while building relationships with the Canadian Special Forces, Belize Defense Forces, Belize Special Assignments Group and Belize Coast Guard throughout the execution of the exercise. Tropical Dagger is a 3-week long exercise consisting of a modified insert and extraction package followed by 4 deliberate planning cycles featuring Special Reconnaissance and Direct Action utilizing various insertion techniques within a counter-narcotics scenario from Nov. 6-19, 2017.
