U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. David Velasquez, a data systems administrator with Marine Wing Communications Squadron 18, 1st Marine Air Wing, fires his weapon during the Far East Annual Marksmanship Competition on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, on Dec. 8, 2017. The purpose of the competition is to improve the marksmanship, proficiency, and combat readiness of the Marine Corps as well as provide an opportunity to win a reward and advance to the Marine Corps Championship in Quantico, Virginia.
