U.S. Army Sgt. Briana Armendariz, Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) analyst, digs up metal signatures at a survey area in Lang Son province, Vietnam, Nov. 20, 2017. Research and Investigation Teams traveled through provinces in northern Vietnam as they conducted witness interviews and archeological site surveys to progress case leads and validate sites for future excavation operations in search of lost U.S. service members.
