U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Svyatoslav Nemenko, Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) augmentee, searches for metal signatures in Lang Son province, Vietnam, Nov. 17, 2017. Research and Investigation Teams traveled through provinces in northern Vietnam as they conducted witness interviews and archeological site surveys to progress case leads and validate sites for future excavation operations in search of lost U.S. service members. Nemenko is an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician assigned to the Combat Logistics Battalion 31 (CLB 31), 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU).
