A pilot and crew chief assigned to the 34th Fighter Squadron conduct a final inspections on an F-35A Lighting II assigned to Hill Air Force Base, Utah at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Nov. 27, 2017. The F-35As originally deployed to Kadena AB, Japan, in October as a part of the U.S. Pacific Command’s Theater Security Package program before moving to Korea to participate in VIGILANT ACE-18. The ability to “Accept Follow-on Forces” is one of the primary mission sets of the 8th Fighter Wing at Kunsan, and enables the wing’s ability to carry out its “Take the Fight North” mission.
