MacDill AFB, Fla. – (Nov. 29, 2017) Retired U.S. Navy Master Chief and USCENTCOM civilian employee, Timothy Vickers discusses Kiowa culture during a presentation at U.S. Central Command headquarters. Vickers’ Kiowa tribal heritage stems from the line of Chief Satanta (White Bear), one of the best known, and last, of the Kiowa war chiefs. USCENTCOM celebrates National American Indian Heritage Month every November to recognize the contributions made by American Indian and Alaska Native people.
