Former and Current Soldiers assigned to the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), attend The Old Guard monument groundbreaking ceremony at Town Hall Field on Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Va. The Old Guard monument has been designed to honor and memorialize the thousands of Soldiers past and present that have served in The Old Guard. The central focus will be a bronze sculpture featuring three Old Guard Soldiers, scaled to 1.25 times life-size, that will represent a different aspect of the Regiment's service throughout it's history. The monument is to be placed on Town Hall Field in the Spring of 2018.
