    Joint Sustainment Command - Afghanistan

U.S. Army Lt. Col. Thomas L. Booker, munitions branch chief for Joint Sustainment Command–Afghanistan, cringes as Chief Warrant Officer 2 Phillip G. Cliburn begins to shave his head bald after the Run Together 5K at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, April 30, 2011. The race benefited cancer research in the United Kingdom. Booker and one of his fellow section members, Maj. Todd D. Pohnert, agreed that the loser of the race would shave his head bald before the crowd. Both are members of the Mississippi Army National Guard’s 184th Expeditionary Sustainment Command headquartered in Laurel, Miss. The unit has been deployed to Afghanistan since early Oct. in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Booker is a resident of Philadelphia, Miss., while Pohnert is from Hattiesburg, Miss.
