    Joint Sustainment Command - Afghanistan

U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer 2 Phillip G. Cliburn, munitions technician for Joint Sustainment Command–Afghanistan, begins the delicate process of shaving Lt. Col. Thomas L. Booker’s head after the Run Together 5K at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, April 30, 2011. The race benefited cancer research in the United Kingdom. Booker and one of his fellow section members, Maj. Todd D. Pohnert, agreed that the loser of the race would shave his head bald before the crowd. Both work in the munitions section of Joint Sustainment Command–Afghanistan and are members of the Mississippi Army National Guard’s 184th Expeditionary Sustainment Command headquartered in Laurel, Miss. The unit has been deployed to Afghanistan since early October in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Booker is a resident of Philadelphia, Miss., while Pohnert is from Hattiesburg, Miss.
