PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 13, 2017) Culinary Specialist 1st Class David Houchins explains the "Best of the Mess" culinary competition rules before the contest begins on the aft mess decks aboard USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74). The competition included various messes from around the ship competing against one another for the best food from a set number of ingredients. John C.
