Senior Airman Brendan Kinser, 374th Civil Engineer Squadron pavements and equipment journeyman, performs the finishing touches to freshly placed concrete on the runway, Nov. 15, 2017, at Yokota Air Base, Japan. One of the most important aspects of the repair is to make sure the concrete is perfectly level with the surrounding concrete to ensure a seamless transition to reduce stress on aircraft tires.
