Wennblom, a Bellevue, Wash., native, has been a competitive runner since 1993 and was the installation's top finisher in the 2017 Army Ten-Miler competition in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 8, 2017. He finished 39th overall in the race and won the 35-39 age group category with a time of 55:49. Wennblom won a Junior Olympics national cross-country team title in 1993, competed in several national championship meets with South Dakota State University, and helped the Army's West Point team to an Army Ten-Miler title in 2012.
