U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS – Marines with Company A., 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Ground Combat Element, and surrounding Marine units gather to celebrate the 242nd Marine Corps birthday by playing flag football, Nov. 11, 2017. The 15th MEU is deployed in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
