171111-N-EJ549-0007 Liège, Belgium (Nov, 11 2017) The Late Mr. William H. Nellis, a U.S. Army Air Forces 1st Lieutenant during World War II, is interred at Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Belgium. Nellis’ sacrifice is immortalized in Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, which is named after the fallen American. On Nov. 11, 2017 a group of service members from Ramstein Air Base, Germany, honored Nellis and thousands more fallen Americans during Armistice Day and Veteran’s Day.
