National Guard Soldiers assigned to Joint Task Force Puerto Rico ran the Run With Dennis 5K race at San Juan, Puerto Rico, Nov. 12, 2017. Runners ran three times around the outer perimeters of the Puerto Rico Convention Center to complete the 3.1 mile race. The Run With Dennis 5K race is a memorial race that honors the life and memory of U.S. Army 1st Lt. Dennis W. Zilinski, II, who was killed in action in Iraq in 2005. A memorial fund was set up to provide support to improve the morale and welfare of members of the United States Armed Forces and their families, and to provide scholarships, and invests in the future of high school students who embody the leadership qualities and community spirit as Lt.
