Spc. Kyle Anderson, left, and Spc. Joseph Bruce, both of the 815th Engineer Company, wave a motorist through at a traffic control point on North Dakota Highway 46 near Kindred, N.D., April 26. The soldiers are responsible for limiting traffic to authorized personnel and notifying motorists that the road is closed due to floodwater flowing over the highway, making travel dangerous. About 150 North Dakota National Guard members continue to conduct quick reaction force missions and dike patrols, and run a tactical operations center in support of flood-fighting efforts in North Dakota.
