GUAYAMA, Puerto Rico – One of the more than 690 rescued dogs at the Canita Sanctuary of the Divine Mercy, an animal sanctuary located here. Founded by retired Army Capt. Carmen Cintron in 2004, the sanctuary helps the injured, sick, and abandoned animals of Puerto Rico.
