Indiana Army National soldiers fill sandbags at the Indiana Department of Transportation branch in Vincennes, Ind., Monday, April 25, 2011, to support flooding in the area. The soldiers are helping fill an order of 100,000 sandbags to prevent flooding. Approximately 250 soldiers were mobilized to state active duty in response to the flooding in Gibson, Knox, Daviess and Posey counties due to near record numbers of rainfall. Soldiers are assisting in sandbagging operations, transporting displaced civilians to shelters, search and rescue missions, debris removal and damage assessment.
