An MH-47 Chinook helicopter hovers before landing and being boarded by Afghan Commandos with the Afghan National Army's 3rd Commando Kandak and U.S. Special Operations service members, assigned to Special Operations Task Force-South, after they had completed a clearing operation in Panjwa'i District, April 19, 2011, Kandahar province. Operations such as these are being conducted in order to rid the region of Taliban influence and improve security for the populace. Also assisting during the operation was Panjwa'i District Governor Fazluddin Agha.
