Afghan commandos, with the Afghan National Army's 3rd Commando Kandak, and U.S. Special Operations service-members, with Special Operations Task Force-South, board an MH-47 Chinook helicopter en route to a clearing operation in Panjwa'i District, April 19, in Kandahar province. Operations such as these are being conducted in order to rid the region of Taliban influence and improve security for the populace. Also assisting during the operation was Fazluddin Agha, Panjawa'i District governor.
