High School students have thousands of career options to pick from after they graduate. If they choose the Army, many will have their choice among nearly 200 military specialties.
To help students narrow their education and career choices, Soldiers in the Coraopolis, Pennsylvania-based 316th Expeditionary Sustainment Command participated in the Moon Area High School’s annual career day at the school campus in Moon, Pennsylvania Oct. 27.
According to the school’s counselor office, the purpose of the fair was to expose students to the variety of local employers and jobs. Students asked the invited employers about the education and time requirements needed to enter certain careers and discussed their goals.
More than 100 local educational institutions and employers were invited to the half-day event.
The Soldiers offered valuable information about their own career choices in public relations, accounting, and finance. The community event also helped build relationships between the U.S. Army Reserve and other area organizations.
