Niewenhous is the commanding officer of Combat Logistics Battalion 31 and Baek is a supply officer with 1st Marine Battalion, Republic of Korea Marine Logistics Group. ROK Marines visited CLB-31, the Logistics Combat Element of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, to exchange information to strengthen the U.S.-ROK alliance. The 31st MEU provides a flexible force ready to perform a wide range of military operations, from limited combat to humanitarian assistance, throughout the Indo-Asia-Pacific region as the Marine Corps' only continuously forward-deployed MEU.
