U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Dave Whitmill with 315th Airlift Control Flight from Charleston Air Force Base, S.C., guides Army personnel and vehicles off of a C-17 Globemaster at North Island Naval Air Station, Calif., April 17, in support of Patriot Hook 2011. Patriot Hook is an annual Air Force Reserve Tanker Airlift Control Element exercise simulating a joint force response to a natural disaster in a forward deployed location. The exercise deploys three TALCE units and brings together units of the Air Force Reserve, Navy, Department of Homeland Security and other federal agencies.
