U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Sergio Melendez, 729th Airlift Squadron, March Air Reserve Base, Calif., guides a Fire Department 50 foot flat-bed semi truck down the ramp of a C-17 Globemaster III at North Island Naval Air Station, Calif., April 16, in support of Patriot Hook 2011. Patriot Hook is an annual Air Force Reserve Tanker Airlift Control Element exercise simulating a joint force response to a natural disaster in a forward deployed location. The exercise deploys three TALCE units and brings together units of the Air Force Reserve, Navy, Department of Homeland Security and other federal agencies.
