Staff Sgt. David L. Young, the 230th Sustainment Brigade paralegal non-commissioned officer in charge, worked under Sgt. James T. Chapin in Chattanooga, Tenn., as a patrolman and a member of the department’s Color Guard. Chapin was killed in the line of duty, April 2. A memorial service was held for him, April 7, in Chattanooga, Tenn., and was viewed by soldiers of the 230th at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, via a “Live feed” on the internet.
