Rick Uribe, commanding general of 1st Marine Expeditionary Brigade, praises U.S. Navy and Marine Corps staff members in the Joint Intelligence Center aboard the USS Essex (LHD 2) for their exceptional performance and professional conduct during Exercise Dawn Blitz, Oct. 26, 2017. Uribe personally thanked Marines and Sailor from various sections aboard the Essex, which was one of three U.S. Navy amphibious ships that participated in the scenario-based exercise designed to foster the Navy and Marine Corps team and strengthen amphibious capabilities through realistic training.
