Petty Officer 1st Class Susan Rader, quartermaster, United Through Reading coordinator, promotes a new collection of Dr. Seuss books aboard Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Barry. United Through Reading’s mission is to unite families facing physical separation by facilitating the bonding experience of reading aloud together. Barry is on a routine deployment conducting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation missions in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility.
