A series of rivers twist and turn near a training site in Alaska, Sept. 27, 2017. Airmen of the 211th Rescue Squadron, Alaska Air National Guard at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson performed low-level proficiency training in a HC-130J Combat King II above the diverse Alaska landscape. The HC-130J is a version of the well-known C-130 Hercules tactical transport aircraft that has been specially modified and upgraded to perform combat search-and-rescue missions.
