U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, and U.S. Army aircraft that supported Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron (MAWTS) One Weapons and Tactics Instructors (WTI) Course 1-18 are displayed on Installation Management Agency’s (IMA) apron for a group photo, Oct. 22, 2017. WTI is a course hosted twice a year by MAWTS-1 that provides standardized advanced tactical training to pilots from different units around the Marine Corps, as well as other branches of the United States military and militaries from other countries. The Barry M. Goldwater Complex and the Chocolate Mountain Range are the two primary training grounds for WTI; the offer a combined total of over 3,5000 square miles for pilots to practice air-to-air maneuvers and engage simulated battlefield targets on the ground.
