171022-N-RN119-223 ATLANTIC OCEAN (Oct. 22, 2017) Boatswain's Mate Chief James Nadon, the craftmaster of landing craft air cushion (LCAC) 53 attached to Assault Craft Unit 4, prepares to pilot the craft into well deck of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Gunston Hall (LSD 44) in support of exercise Bold Alligator 2017 (BA17). Improving Navy-Marine Corps amphibious core competencies along with coalition, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Allied and partner nations is a necessary investment in the current and future readiness of our forces.
